Kimerud Distillery
The Kimerud Distillery is a small-shop craft operation located on the Johnsen family farm, located in Lier municipality, west of Oslo, Norway. The farm itself dates back to 1785. The clean air and good soil in Lier provide perfect conditions for growing high quality herbs and berries for their hand-crafted Gin and Aquavit.
This gin owes its subtle dry palate to the hand picked berries from Kimerud farm from July to August. Master distiller Ståle Johnsen his wife Barbara and two daughters collect the rich, ripe berries. This Pink Gin containes no less than 23 botanicals.
The raspberry on Kimerud farm is grown organic to make sure we get the best taste and quality in each one of the berries.
A touch of sourced sugar is added to give the spirit a mild sweet balance. You can enjoy this gin alone in the glass, in a gin and tonic, or in new exciting cocktails.
Today, the craft distillery remains small, but has expanded over the years to include Gin, Collector’s Pink Gin, Hillside Aged Gin, Navy Strength Gin, Wild Grade Gin, Botanisk Gin, Pepper Gin Liqueur, and Havaldsen Triple Cask Aquavit Havaldsen Aquavit by Independent Spirits Canada .
Kimerud Gin is the highest awarded Norwegian Gin and has received the highest honors in several international competitions.
